This week in Music
"Clap, clap, clap your hands. Clap your hands together!"
This week, students are practicing steady beat by exploring the use of body percussion. They are marching to the beat of their own drum, improvising movements to go along with music, and writing their own verses to the song you see above!
Coming up next!
"Hickory dickory dock. The mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck one, the mouse ran down. Hickory dickory dock."
Next up, we will be exploring the difference between steady beat and syncopation. Students will lead the class in body percussion to show steady beat and follow the sound of the beating drum! We will also be learning about the history of our great nation by learning about The Star-Spangled Banner.
