This week in Music
"Oh beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain...."
Who knew there were so many students with fabulous voices at King Springs?!?! This week, we held Melody Makers auditions during class, while students explored geographical features of Georgia. Every one the students who got up to audition sang in front of the class and their new music teacher- something I would not have been brave enough to do when I was in elementary school! I am so proud of these students and cannot wait to work with many many of them in Choir this year!!
Coming up next!
"Listen! Listen! Listen to the sounds of the instruments!"
Next up is a review of all of the mallet instruments! We will review mallet technique and perform a song in rondo form. Students will also be learning about the history of our nation through patriotic songs. Ask your child what a rampart is! And in case you haven't been told, ask your child to tell you about why King Springs is a "grand old school!"
