Melody Makers
Auditions
Students underwent the audition process during Music Class last week. They bravely stood up in front of their new teacher and their classmates and sang "America the Beautiful." I am so proud of everyone who got up and sang!
There were a total of 95 students who auditioned for Melody Makers this year!
As stated in the information letter sent home earlier this year, I am only accepting 60 students this year. This group rehearses weekly for the majority of the year will be doing several performances this year. If you have any concerns with scheduling, please let me know. Participants are expected to be at every rehearsal and performance!
Rehearsals
Wednesdays 2:20-3:30pm
First rehearsal: September 24th
Please be in the carpool line promply at 3:30 to pick up your child! If your child has not been picked up by 3:45pm, they will be put into ASP for the afternoon. You will be responsible for the fee if this happens.

September 10th- Participation Contract and Fee DUE
September 11th- PTA Meeting/Pizza Serving
Need: Parents to serve Pizza from 5:30-6:30pm
September 24th- First Rehearsal
October 8th- Butter Braids Fundraiser begins
Information passed out at rehearsal
Please collect CASH for items sold
October 22nd- Butter Braids Fundraiser money and form DUE
Turn in envelope with order form and money to Ms. Otte
in Music Room
Late forms will NOT be accepted!
October 23rd- District Honor Chorus
Students will be chosen from Fifth grade participants.
Parents must provide transportation to and from event.
Chaperones will be needed for day-long event.
November 5th- Butter Braids Delivery!
Butter Braids will be delivered in the afternoon
Parents will need to come up to the school and pick up
their orders that afternoon/evening.
November 15th- Book Fair

December 2nd- PTA Meeting/Pizza Serving

Performances occur during school hours. We will take school busses, wear
our concert attire, and eat lunch at the first performance location.
